2020 Convention Update Information
The Missouri District Board of Governors met on August 15 and elected to cancel the District Convention for 2020. Originally the District Convention was to be held prior to the SENT Celebration Event in St. Louis on October 17, but due to the COVID pandemic that event has been changed to a virtual event. Many of the other LLL Districts have likewise canceled their conventions this year as a result of the pandemic.
Lutheran Hour Ministries will be hosting a Virtual LLL Event on Saturday morning, September 26, 2020 for all Districts and anyone else who is interested in receiving updates about LHM. Please visit http://www.LHM.ORG/LLL2020 to register for this event.
The Missouri District LLL was scheduled at our convention to elect officers for the coming biennium. We are required to vote by written ballots and consequently we will be sending out ballots to any LHM donors (members) who have attended a Missouri District LLL Convention over the past five years (from 2015-2019). Ballots will be mailed out around October 1, 2020 and must be returned by October 31, 2020.
One of the major opportunities for District LLL Members to support Special Projects of the District is by making contributions at our District Convention. Because we are not meeting in person this year, that opportunity will not exist. If you would like to support the designated Special Projects of the District (LHM Bible Correspondence Courses, LHM-Vietnam, or the Seminary Banquet for students of Concordia Seminary), please send your contributions to the District Treasurer, James Harms, 1205 South Bridgewood Drive, Columbia, MO 65203. |
